Mad Dog Shotgunners
Who else would come out with temperatures in the 40’sC
WLSA held the 2021 Cliff Stinson Memorial Shoot on Saturday July 26 2021 in unbelievable heat. The Shoot could not be held in 2020 due to Covid-19 rules and this was the first opportunity to do so. Normally the event is 2 days but under the circumstances it was reduced to 1 day this year. Temperatures exceeded 40C so hydration and shade were paramount. Where possible tarps were set up to provide shade.
Turnout was reasonable under the circumstances and a release from the covid-19 restrictions. It was nice to see the familiar faces!
We certainly will be doing this again in 2022 if all things go well but don’t wait until then. Come on out and shoot, on your own or when a shotgun range day is assigned. If you are not a member, come on out on a scheduled day, be a guest and meet the “mad dogs of wlsa” (they are really not that bad).
AND THE WINNER IS …
